Ticketing & check-in

The door is a link. The list writes itself.

Pick a contact list and the platform mints one QR pass per person and emails it. Staff open a link on any phone and scan at the door — no apps, no accounts — and everyone who walks in lands on an attendance list ready to certify.

One pass per person

Tickets, vouchers or invites, minted from a contact list you already have. Nobody registers; re-running after adding contacts tops up instead of duplicating.

A door without accounts

The scan page is an unguessable link handed to door staff — revocable and rotatable, no logins at the worst possible moment.

Camera or keyboard

Scanning uses the phone’s camera; a typed code entry stands in when glare, a cracked screen or a printout gets in the way.

Four honest outcomes

Valid, already checked in, not a valid pass, event closed — rendered distinctly, because a door that shows them alike turns away invited guests and admits strangers.

Every scan builds the list

Each check-in writes that person into a second contact list — the record of who actually came, ready for a certificate batch the same evening.

Delivery you already trust

Passes go out through the same queue and connected mailboxes as certificates, with live send progress and retries.

In practice

How it runs

  1. 1

    Create the campaign

Pick the source list, the pass kind, and where attendees get recorded.

  2. 2

    Send the passes

Each contact gets an email with their personal QR.

  3. 3

    Scan at the door

Staff open the link and scan; the attendance list fills itself.

Questions

What teams ask before they start

What if a pass is forwarded or printed twice?

Every pass carries a unique code, and the first scan is the one that counts. A second scan of the same pass shows the door staff a distinct already-checked-in state, with the time of the first entry, so a forwarded email admits one person, not two.

Can several doors scan at once?

Yes. The scan page is a link, so every staff phone that opens it scans against the same campaign in real time. A guest checked in at door A shows as already checked in at door B seconds later.

Do attendees need an account or an app?

No. The pass arrives by email with its QR, and it is shown from the phone's mail app or a printout. Staff need no account either, only the scan link, which you can revoke and re-issue if a phone goes missing.

Is the check-in list the same as the recipient list?

It is a separate contact list that fills as people arrive, so the invite list and the attendance list never mix. When the event ends you start a certificate batch straight from the attendance list, or export it as CSV.
